BLOOD PRESSURE APPOINTMENTS

Please remember to arrive at least 5 minutes before your appointment to give your heart rate a chance to steady. Please wear loose clothing and refrain from Caffeine and Nicotine for at least 30 minutes prior to your Blood Pressure appointment.

All Dr. Bunney's patients have been transferred to his job-share partner Dr. Jackie Tolhurst. She has increased her number of surgeries per week. We are currently interviewing for his replacement at the moment and awaiting appointment. If any of Dr. Bunney's patients wish to change their doctor please speak to a member of reception. Dr. Oliver Hassall is taking on new patients.

We would like your feedback on the care or treatment we give you any time you visit your GP or have contact with the practice. Click on the Friends & Family tab on the right below Further Information for more details. If you would like to give us more detailed feedback about the services we provide you can do this by completing a review on the NHS Choices website. To view Januarys results please click here.

New Patient Registration

Patients living within the practice area are welcome to register and our reception staff can confirm your eligibility from your address.

You can register by:

For ALL new registrations we now require a passport / ID to confirm identity.

Medical Questionnaire

When you register you will also be asked to fill out a medical questionnaire. This is because it can take a considerable time for us to receive your medical records.

You can print out the Patient Questionnaire to complete at home and bring in, together with the NHS registration form and ID, as mentioned above.

Medical treatment is available from the date of registration.

All new patients are offered a health check with a member of the healthcare team.

To open our Patient Handbook please click here.

You can access information on surgery opening hours, out of hours assistance, access to medical services, clinics, online services, practice staff and more.

The handbook is printable.

Patient Choice of GP Practices

From January 5 2015, all GP practices in England are free to register new patients who live outside their practice boundary area.

This means that you are able to register with practices in more convenient locations, such as a practice near your work or closer to your children’s schools. For more information please click here.

These fact sheets have been written to explain the role of UK health services, the National Health Service (NHS), to newly-arrived individuals seeking asylum. They cover issues such as the role of GPs, their function as gatekeepers to the health services, how to register and how to access emergency services.

Special care has been taken to ensure that information is given in clear language, and the content and style has been tested with user groups.
